James

James has over 10 years of skiing experience under his belt. A keen telemark skier with a passion for the backcountry, he has worked and skied in Telluride, Wyoming, Utah and New Zealand. Other interests include rock-climbing and mountaineering. When he is not mapping out new back country lines for Powder Recon clients, James is a full time fire fighter in Victoria, Australia.

James' first become hooked on Japan with Powder Recon during the 2008/09 winter season. It was during this time that he got a taste for the diverse terrain and the great snow conditions found in the Myoko and Bandai regions of Honshu. As well as a appetite for powder he has developed a healthy appetite for the Japanese culture and cuisine.
